Our projects:
1.Reusable Sanitary Towels, a project of Arise Hellen Wafula CBO
Educating girls and women about the “hygienic” use of washable sanitary towels. Washable sanitary pads are more durable than disposable sanitary pads and easy for one to make.
The aim is to teach local women and men through a short course how to make washable sanitary towels themselves with the right materials. The washable sanitary napkin contributes to a sustainable solution to the monthly recurring problem for girls who do not have sufficient resources to buy sanitary towels themselves. Because the washable sanitary napkin can be used for a long time, it contributes to less waste and is therefore better for the environment.
